The sporting world was worked into a frenzy yesterday with the report from ESPN's Chris Mortensen that Brett Favre might be considering a return to the Packers. The debate shows were a twitter with the thought of his return. Will he come back? Will the Packers take him back? Could he maybe play for another team? Is this all bullshit invented by ESPN in order to drive ratings and create content to fill a 24 hour news cycle? Well, it can't possibly be that.
But amidst the frenzy, a new thread to this tale emerged, one that would come to trump every other aspect of the story.
It's his itch. The man has an itch. Who, if anyone, is going to scratch it? Something must be done about the overwhelming itch that has afflicted America's quarterback, Brett Favre. Somebody get a back scratcher. Do something. We can't just let Brett Favre's itch go unreported or unresolved. Something has to give.
The rest of us are left to wait and ponder when and if this itch will ever be scratched.
